Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of xShelf — the Chrome extension, the website xshelf.app, and the subscription service described in Section 4.
1. Acceptance and changes to these Terms
By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise using xShelf you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will post a notice on this page (and, where possible, notify active subscribers by email) at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of xShelf after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. The service
xShelf is a store platform for X (Twitter) creators: it lets you open a public "vending-machine" storefront on your X profile, list goods with optional interaction requirements (like, repost, reply), and let visitors claim them after completing those requirements on X. xShelf runs on top of X but is not affiliated with X Corp.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the service. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you actively subscribe to, Section 6 (cancellation) and Section 7 (refunds) apply.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription.
- Accounts are created by signing in with your X account through X's official OAuth authorization (read-only scope). The information X shares with us is described in our Privacy Policy.
- Keep your X account secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your xShelf account, and you must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- One account per person; you may not sell, rent, or transfer accounts.
4. Subscription service
xShelf offers a paid plan, Lite (US$9.98 per month), which unlocks the member-only features described on our Pricing page. The features and prices of each plan are as stated there; that description forms part of these Terms.
We may change plans or pricing for future billing periods; the price applicable to your subscription is the one displayed at the time you subscribe or renew.
5. Billing and payments
5.1 Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly billing cycle. By subscribing, you authorize xShelf — through our payment processor — to charge your chosen payment method the then-current subscription fee for each renewal cycle, until you cancel under Section 6.
5.2 Payment processing. Payments are processed by Waffo (Waffo Pancake), acting as merchant of record. Waffo is PCI-DSS compliant; your card details are collected and processed by Waffo and never reach xShelf's servers. We receive only the subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to activate your plan.
5.3 Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax). Where legally required, such taxes are collected and remitted by Waffo as merchant of record and shown to you at checkout.
6. Cancellation
6.1 How to cancel. You can cancel at any time on xshelf.app/pricing — click "Cancel anytime" under the plans and confirm — or by contacting us at xshelfapp@gmail.com. Cancelling stops the next automatic charge — it does not end your current subscription immediately.
6.2 What happens after you cancel.
- No refund for the current period. Fees for the billing period you have already paid are non-refundable (see Section 7).
- Your benefits stay active until the end of that period. You keep full Lite membership for the rest of the cycle you have paid for; your subscription simply does not renew.
- No further charges. After the current period ends, automatic renewal stops and your plan automatically reverts to the free plan.
You can re-subscribe at any time from the Pricing page; cancelling does not delete your account or data, which are retained as described in our Privacy Policy — you can request deletion at any time.
7. Refunds
7.1 General rule. xShelf is a digital service delivered immediately upon purchase, so subscription fees are generally non-refundable — including the remainder of a billing period after cancellation (see Section 6.2) — except as set out below or where required by law.
7.2 Refundable cases.
- First subscription: if you subscribe for the first time and request a refund within 3 days of payment, before using member-only features beyond what the free plan offers, you receive a full refund.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges: refunded in full.
- Extended outages: if a verified xShelf outage prevents you from using a paid feature for more than 72 hours, you receive a pro-rata refund or extension for the affected period.
- Statutory rights: nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including the EU/UK 14-day withdrawal right for digital services where it applies.
7.3 How to request. Email xshelfapp@gmail.com with your X handle, the transaction date and amount, and the reason. We confirm receipt within 2 business days; approved refunds are returned via the original payment method (processed by Waffo) within 5–10 business days.
7.4 No refunds. We do not refund: billing periods you have already used (after the 3-day first-subscription window, except where required by law); requests made more than 30 days after the charge being disputed; or accounts terminated for breach of these Terms.
8. Your content and conduct
You keep ownership of the content you publish through xShelf (shop name, product names, descriptions, share text, images). You grant xShelf a limited license to host, store, and publicly display that content for the sole purpose of operating your store.
You agree not to publish illegal or infringing content, malware, scams, or content that violates X's rules; not to interfere with or disrupt the service; and not to use xShelf to circumvent X's platform rules. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Products you list must be free or interaction-based goods you are entitled to share. xShelf does not process payments between creators and visitors and does not take part in such arrangements.
9. Intellectual property
The xShelf service, software, brand, and design are owned by xShelf or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or use them to build a competing service, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
10. Third-party services
xShelf relies on third-party services it does not control: X (x.com), the Waffo checkout and payment pages, and links creators share on their stores. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or conduct.
11. Privacy
Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant the accuracy of user-published store content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, these disclaimers apply.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. xShelf's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions the limitations apply to the maximum extent the law allows.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold xShelf harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your misuse of the service.
15. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully. Upon termination your license to use the service ends; fees already paid are handled per Section 7. You may stop using the service at any time.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for 30 days after written notice. If that fails, disputes shall be brought before the courts (or arbitration body) of China. Either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence are not affected.
